MinistryWide Day of Prayer and Fasting

Matt Crawford | July 2, 2026

Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, setting aside our own comfort and routines to seek You with undivided attention. As we fast, we ask You to search our hearts and reveal where our treasures truly lie.

Lord, forgive us for the times we have chased after what fades – earthly security, recognition, comfort, and control. Show us anywhere our hearts have wandered toward what moth and rust can destroy. Let our time, our resources, and our energy be poured into what will last into eternity.

Align our priorities with Yours. Where we have built for ourselves, build instead through us for Your glory. Where we have grown anxious about what is temporary, replace that anxiety with peace rooted in what is eternal.

So today we lay down our own agendas and ask You to set our hearts on things above – on Your Kingdom, Your purposes, and on those across the globe who are still waiting to know Your love.

We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
