Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.” (1 Kings 6:11-13)

“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely. I will give peace in the land.” (Leviticus 26:3-6a)

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! (Psalm 105:1)

 

Father, we pause on this ministrywide day of prayer and fasting to offer You our thanksgiving. We give thanks to You for the provision of places for Your people to gather and study Your Word, for the resources needed to build Your Kingdom through your people, and for Your servant leaders who carry out Your will and Your work in the ministry of Community Bible Study around the world.

You are the Lord, our Shepherd, the Lord who provides, the Lord who heals, the Lord who sanctifies, and You are the Lord who is near. We call upon your name this day, Lord, and ask that You would help us walk in Your ways and proclaim Your deeds throughout the world until the work You have ordained is complete. In Jesus’s name ~ amen.
