May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord.    Psalm 19:14    NIV

Please pray for the Youth Ministry Writing Team members as they continue to write and edit Teaching Helps. Pray for creative ideas, and resources that will bless Youth Ministry teachers. Pray for God to stretch their time as they do this important work.

Please pray for God to give our CBS leaders a restful summer break so they may return refreshed in the fall.

Please praise the Lord for opening doors in a new host church for the Willow Grove, Pennsylvania day class and that news of the move was well received by class leaders and participants.

Please pray that the Moorpark, California day class leaders will be protected and refreshed by the Lord, as many are currently facing health challenges. Also, pray that our God would give clear direction for a new Associate Teaching Director, core leaders, children’s teachers and administration leaders for  next year.

Please praise God for all of the Student Ministry classes that have finished or are about to finish their studies for the year.  May the seeds that have been planted in each student’s life through each leader’s talks, devotions, time and dedication grow strong in their lives, and guide and guard them as they navigate the trappings of this world.

Please pray in thanksgiving for the new InPrison and Beyond Ministry team at the Phoenix Federal Correctional Institution. Pray for additional leaders to be called by God to accommodate a sudden increase in class participants and that they are able to attend an upcoming InPrison Leadership training. Praise God for this abundance and the chance to reach so many at this prison.

Please pray for ministry opportunities in Eastern Europe.

Please pray for the potential classes now studying Nehemiah in northern Brazil.

Praise God that the pastor from the Democratic Republic of Congo who walked eight days to attend a CBS training for Children & Youth has started a flourishing CBS class.

Please pray for the CBS ministry in the country of the day: Panama

Why Pray?

Prayer is the first CBS core value. We pray because:
- God tells us to pray
- Prayer builds our relationship with Jesus
- God responds to our prayers

CBS leaders frequently pray using the A.C.T.S. acrostic:
- Adoration or Praise
- Confession of Our Sins
- Thanksgiving for God's grace, mercy, and provision
- Supplication or Petition for our and others needs
