Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 NIV

Praise God for a strong response in class registration for next year’s study of the Gospel of John in the Westport Fairfield, Connecticut day class.

Praise God for the house church model that is working well for the CBSI groups in an undisclosed country in the Middle East/North Africa Region.

Praise God for a husband and wife who are potential CBSI Ambassador candidates for Guatemala. Please pray for them as they move through the process and consider God’s call on their lives.

Please join the Hemet, California day class in thanking the Lord for the faithful shepherding of their class participants of all ages. The class leaders are grateful for technology and for class participants willing to learn in order to finish the class year well. To God be the glory.

Pray for all new CBS leaders who are participating in the on-line leadership training in May.  Thank God for the teams that prepared the virtual trainings and pray each participant will feel equipped by the Holy Spirit for their new roles.

Please pray for safety and protection of the Niger CBSI leaders and participants from the coronavirus and terrorists.

Pray that the Lord would pursue the hearts and minds of each child and youth in a CBS class so they may think on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and praiseworthy. May He help them to practice these things daily so that His perfect peace would control them.

Please pray for young people in Austria to be bold in proclaiming their faith and inviting others to CBSI classes.

Please pray for wisdom for the leaders of Community Bible Study around the world.

Please pray for God to provide His chosen translators in the East Asia-Pacific Region.

Please pray that Ethnos Core Leaders who are continuing to meet for summer courses will increase in their love of God and will reach out to their communities.

Please pray for an end to the spread of the coronavirus and for CBS leaders and participants who are suffering around the world. Continue to pray for them to have confident hope in God’s plans as Isaiah 25:1 proclaims – “O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.”

Please pray for the CBS ministry in the country of the day: Japan

Why Pray?

Prayer is the first CBS core value. We pray because:
- God tells us to pray
- Prayer builds our relationship with Jesus
- God responds to our prayers

CBS leaders frequently pray using the A.C.T.S. acrostic:
- Adoration or Praise
- Confession of Our Sins
- Thanksgiving for God's grace, mercy, and provision
- Supplication or Petition for our and others needs
