MINISTRY WIDE DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. … you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light … And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God … for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true) and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord … be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Romans 13:8,11-12; Ephesians 5:2, 8-10, 18-21
Sovereign God and Father, Community Bible Study comes before Your throne of grace today, seeking Your mercy and Your help in aligning our hearts with Yours. Thank you for Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who loved us and freed us from our sins by His blood. To Him alone be glory and dominion forever. He is our great High Priest who is seated at Your right hand interceding for us. He is a gift upon gift. He is our life. Thank you, Father. We ask You to continually transform us, individually and as a ministry, into ever-increasing discipleship after the example of Jesus as we serve You in our communities. Strengthen us by Your Spirit so that we shine Your light and proclaim Your Word with great boldness and great love. In Jesus’s Name, amen.
Father we pray for the persecuted believers throughout the world. Hear their cries, protect them, defend them, and come to their aid.
