“Why don’t you try asking ‘Isa’?”
Jamal and Aisha were desperate. Their son was born blind, and the doctors said nothing could be done.
They went to all the Imams and spiritual doctors in their community in Iraq, asking Allah to heal him. They did, but nothing happened. There appeared to be no hope.
But one of Jamal’s friends who had left Iraq to live in Greece became a follower of Jesus there. He told Jamal a Bible story about “Isa” (the Arabic name for Jesus) healing the blind. So Jamal went home and told Aisha. Out of desperation they both prayed to this “Isa” to heal their son.
