MINISTRY WIDE DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

Jacquie Parker | December 2, 2021

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness… God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

… when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
John 12:46; Philippians 2:9-10; Titus 3:4-7; 1 Peter 1:13; Matt 5:14-16 (ESV).

Almighty God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that Your Word will go forth through Community Bible Study to all generations in integrity and unity, rooted in truth, so that Your salvation would rest in the heart of every CBS participant reminding them that hope is established in Jesus Christ alone. We implore you to guard every CBS class so that each one is so deeply rooted and grounded in Your truth that the Gospel flows forth through every course, teaching and core group discussion, from today until Christ returns. Consider our plea as we embark on this season of Advent and desire only to make disciples of Your Son, and our Lord, Jesus Christ, in our communities, through caring, in-depth Bible study available to all. Amen
