MINISTRY WIDE DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

Jacquie Parker | August 4, 2022

When David’s time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, … Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?” … Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers. 1 Kings 2:1-3, 1 Kings 3:9, 1 Kings 8:56-58

Father God, At times we are fearful in our circumstances and can be inclined to shrink back from the holy calling you have given us as Community Bible Study servant-leaders. We confess that we need you to empower us, by Your Spirit, to never shrink back but rather boldly press forward with Your mission. We come to you today, individually, and corporately, through prayer and fasting, to call upon You for these things so that we can serve You in excellence and strength, shepherd Your flock with love and mercy, and proclaim Your Word with boldness and integrity. In the Name of Jesus, we pray ~ Amen.
